Personal Budgets & Personal Health Budgets
Health and social care in your home
Your Life Your choice
A Personal Budget through Social services and a Personal Health Budget through the NHS are very similar.
They are both about giving you choice
and control over the support you receive
that enables you to live independently
in your own home.
The eligibility criteria is very different though.
If health and social care are needed for you to live independently then depending on your support needs either can be accessed
via your local social services and NHS.
A PB or PHB have the choice of Direct Payments, this means you manage your own support and hire your own personal assistants (carer).
This enables you to control how your support is received.
DAIS will support you from start to finish with PB and PHB including recruitment

- With a Personal Budget (social care) your personal care is often the main criteria for support.
