Helping You Take Control of Your Life, Your Way

Office workers with visible and hidden disabilities
At DAIS, we believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity, independence, and choice — regardless of age, diagnosis, or the visibility of their disability.
We are a user-led, not-for-profit Social Enterprise and Community Interest Company offering practical support and compassionate advocacy for Disabled adults, children, and their families. Whether you're navigating healthcare, social care, or the benefits system, we'll be here beside you — making sure your voice is heard and your rights are respected.
We’re friendly, down-to-earth, and not here to judge. We offer a bespoke service with real support that makes a difference.

Who We Help. Adults, Children, Family & Carers

Whether your disability is physical, sensory, mental health-related, or long-term illness — visible or hidden — we are here for you.
  • Adults and children living with disability
  • Parents, carers, and advocates
  • Anyone feeling overwhelmed by systems and red tape
It is also important for us at DAIS to ensure that support is given not only to the Disabled individual but also to the families and carers of the child or adult. We believe that all the people involved with your independence should be empowered and enabled as you are.

What We Offer. Services and Support

At DAIS, we’re here to support and advocate for you in every area that helps you live your life with as much independence, choice, and control as possible.

We can assist you in setting up the right care and support through Social Services or the NHS, making sure your needs are heard and understood.
Knowledge is power — and we’ll make sure you have it. From accessible literature to practical advice, we’ll help you understand your options so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
Paperwork doesn’t have to be a barrier. Whether it’s applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP), setting up a care plan, or requesting adjustments, we’ll help you complete the necessary forms and gather any supporting information you need.

Please note: While we are passionate about helping our community, to continue to offer support we do have to charge for our services.
CIC's do not receive government funding and obtaining grants as a small business is extremely difficult, even for a non-profit business but we do not want you to feel that this could be a barrier to accessing support, so we do have a variety of payment options available. Please contact us for all pricing details.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We’re committed to providing quality, informed assistance to those who need it most.

Community Interest Company & Social Enterprise

DAIS is a Social Enterprise and Community Interest Company, proudly supported by the School for Social Entrepreneurs in Winchester, with an initial start-up fund from Lloyds Bank, The National Lottery Community Fund, and the School for Social Entrepreneurs.
A Community Interest Company (CIC) is a special type of limited company designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for public good. CICs are regulated by the CIC Regulator and must meet strict criteria to ensure they’re genuinely working to benefit the community. Unlike traditional companies, a CIC prioritises social impact over profit distribution.
